The 15th Meeting of Presidents and Governors-General of the Caribbean Region was held at the Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa, Dickenson Bay, Antigua. The Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda, His Excellency Sir Rodney Errey Lawrence Williams KGN, GCMG, KSt. J, GCFO, MBBS (UWI), chaired the proceedings.
The CARICOM Secretariat is hosting a two-day sensitization workshop on Free Movement within the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) starting Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Trinidad and Tobago. The aim is to share information and increase awareness of the free movement regimes. The target groups for this activity are the private sector, employers’ organizations and trade unions in CARICOM Member States where free movement processes are operational. Approximately thirty stakeholders are participating in the Trinidad and Tobago workshop that will be held at the Hilton Hotel.
The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) expresses its grave concern over the incident which took place at the Sarstoon River, the southern boundary of Belize with the Republic of Guatemala, between Belizean Security Forces and Guatemalan Armed Forces (GAF) on 12 March 2016. The GAF entered Belizean internal waters and acted in an intimidating manner towards the Belizean forces at their Forward Operating Base on Belize’s mainland at the mouth of the Sarstoon River.

Pan Caribbean Partnership against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP) partners committed to implementing high impact cost effective interventions to sustain national and regional responses. This commitment was made at the Fourth Annual Meeting of National AIDS Programme Managers and Key Partners, which concluded today, 17th March 2016 in Trinidad and Tobago.
