Newly appointed Grenadian Ambassador to CARICOM says Reform Process is to be applauded

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana)     The work that has been done with the CARICOM Reform Process is to be applauded. That was the sentiment expressed by newly appointed Plenipotentiary Representative of Grenada to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) His Excellency Patrick Antoine.
The Ambassador was speaking during a ceremony at the CARICOM Secretariat in Georgetown Guyana where he handed over his credentials to Secretary General of the Caribbean Community Ambassador Irwin LaRocque.

CXC managed nursing exams set for October 2014

That was one of the key points in a statement by Chair of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM and Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar. The statement was made in commemoration of the forty-first anniversary of CARICOM-Cuba diplomatic relations.

CARICOM Reparations Commission identifies six key areas to be the focus of diplomacy and action

This disclosure was made by Chairman of the CARICOM Reparations Commission Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, at a press conference on Tuesday following a meeting of the representatives from the Commission with law firm Leigh Day on Monday at the UWI Mona.

CARICOM strengthens commitment to persons with disabilities in the Caribbean

The Thirty-fourth Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government which was held in July 2013 in Trinidad and Tobago, agreed to set up National Committees on Reparations, to establish the moral, ethical and legal case for the payment of reparations by the former colonial European countries, to the nations and people of the Caribbean Community, for native genocide, the transatlantic slave trade and a racialized system of chattel slavery.
