(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, greater Georgetown, Guyana) Government-owned air carriers in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) have held their second meeting on how they can collaborate to provide more efficient, effective and safe transportation in the Region.

This also applied to their role during the preceding preparatory meetings of National Coordinators on 25-26 January and of Foreign Ministers on 27 January.

Minister in congratulating you on your assumption of the chair, I do so in the full knowledge that this Council is in very capable hands.
As a final activity under the C-SERMS Phase I Project funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The keynote address was delivered by Minister with responsibility for Energy in Barbados, Senator the Hon. Darcy Boyce. Other speakers at the event included, H.E. Mr. Stefan Schlüter, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Port of Spain and Mr. Christiaan Gischler, Senior Energy Specialist, IDB.
