GREIN INTEREST CLUSTERS ON ROADMAPS AND POWER GRIDS LAUNCHED UNDER GREIN

A launch of the interest clusters on technology deployment roadmaps for islands and power grid integration on islands under the Global Renewable Energy Islands Network (GREIN) initiative, established at the Third Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) was held in Auckland, New Zealand on 24 March 2013.

COFCOR AND COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEET IN PORT OF SPAIN THIS WEEK

​(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Trinidad and Tobago will be the venue this week for two Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Ministerial Council meetings.

The Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) will meet on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th while the Community Council will meet on Thursday 16th. Both meetings will be at the Trinidad Hilton Hotel and Conference Centre in Port of Spain.

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) It is for me always a special pleasure and honour to accept the Credentials of a Plenipotentiary Representative of a Member State to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and I warmly welcome you and your delegation to the Headquarters of the CARICOM Secretariat.

The Bahamas is a valued Member of our Community, and the fact that yours was one of the first diplomatic appointments made by the recently-elected Government of The Bahamas is testimony to the importance that your country attaches to its membership of CARICOM.

It is a pleasure for Grenada to be Chairing the Thirty-Sixth Meeting of the Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED).

Colleague Ministers, our Community is at yet another defining epoch in our development. Indeed, there is much skepticism among segments of our stakeholder groups, which has often-times weakened the case for the work of the COTED.

Ambassador, it is my pleasure and honour to accept, your credentials and to extend to you and to your country my hand and that of the Caribbean Community in friendship.

CARICOM WELCOMES SLOVENIA AMBASSADOR

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The first plenipotentiary representative of Slovenia to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) His Excellency Rohan Kirn, on Tuesday presented his letters of credence to Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque.

The accreditation, Ambassador LaRocque said, was an important symbolic gesture and a confirmation of Slovenia’s decision to embark on a new relationship with CARICOM.
