(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Twenty-Third Inter-Sessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) was held in Paramaribo, Suriname, from 8-9 March 2012. His Excellency, Desiré Delano Bouterse, President of the Republic of Suriname, presided.

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE TWENTY-FIRST MEETING OF THE COUNCIL FOR HUMAN AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT (COHSOD) - HEALTH, 15-16 APRIL 2011, GEORGETOWN, GUYANA

The Twenty-First Meeting of the Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD) on Health was convened under the theme: Promoting Equity in Human Development through Public Health, at the Guyana International Conference Centre, Liliendaal, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, on 15 -16 April, 2011. The meeting was chaired by Dr. the Honourable Leslie Ramsammy, Minister of Health of Guyana.

COMMUNIQUÉ ISSUED AT THE CONCLUSION OF HAITI-CARICOM CONSULTATION, 5-7 JANUARY 2011, KINGSTON, JAMAICA

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Arising from consultations held in Kingston, Jamaica, January 5-7, the Government of Haiti and representatives of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) agreed on several key project proposals designed to strengthen Haiti’s institutional and technical capacity in three priority areas: housing and settlement development; physical and environmental planning; and infrastructure development and coordination.

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE REGIONAL MEETING ON CLIMATE CHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT, 14-15 SEPTEMBER 2009, CASTRIES, SAINT LUCIA

The Ministerial Meeting on Climate Change and Development in preparation for the United Nations Conference on Climate Change was convened on Tuesday, 15 September at the Bay Gardens Hotel in Castries, Saint Lucia. Honourable Stephenson King, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia presided for the first part; after which the Hon. Richard Frederick, Minister of Physical Planning, the Environment, Housing, Urban Renewal and Local Government, Saint Lucia, assumed the Chair.
