Communique Issued At The Conclusion Of The Twenty-fifth Inter-sessional Meeting of The Conference Of Heads Of Government Of The Caribbean Community (CARICOM)

The Twenty-Fifth Inter-Sessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) was held at the Buccament Bay Resort, Buccament, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, from 10-11 March 2014.  Dr. the Honourable Ralph E. Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, who assumed the Chair of the Conference for the six-month period commencing 1 January 2014, presided.

Communique issued at the conclusion of the First Regional Conference on Reparations Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines 15-17 September, 2013

On Sunday September 15th, the Caribbean Community opened the first Regional Reparations Conference at St. Vincent and the Grenadines' Victoria Park. The Conference was mandated by the historic, unanimous, decision of CARICOM Heads of Government in July, 2013, in Trinidad and Tobago. The Heads of Government also requested each CARICOM Member State to set up its own National Reparations Committee to document the effects of European genocide against the indigenous inhabitants of the region, the slave trade in and the enslavement of Africans, and the colonization of the country.

His Excellency, Michel Joseph Martelly, President of the Republic of Haiti, presided.

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Sixteenth Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) took place in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago on 14-15 May 2013, under the chairmanship of the Honourable Winston Dookeran, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Council Meeting was attended by Senator the Hon. Maxine McClean, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados; Hon. Frederick Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas; Hon.

COFCOR And Community Council Meet In Port Of Spain This Week

​(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Trinidad and Tobago will be the venue this week for two Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Ministerial Council meetings.

The Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) will meet on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th while the Community Council will meet on Thursday 16th. Both meetings will be at the Trinidad Hilton Hotel and Conference Centre in Port of Spain.
