The Eighth Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) was held in Freeport, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas, on 1-2 June 2005. The Ministers attending were: Dr the Hon. COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE CONCLUSION OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF CARIBBEAN COMMUNITY (CARICOM) MINISTERS RESPONSIBLE FOR NATIONAL SECURITY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, 10-11 MAY 2005, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

A Special Meeting of Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Ministers responsible for National Security and Law Enforcement was held in Trinidad and Tobago, 10-11 May 2005. The Meeting was convened at the request of the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, the Hon. Patrick Manning, Lead CARICOM Head of Government for Crime and Security who also chaired the Meeting.

The Tenth Meeting of the Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD) of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) was convened at the Hilton Tobago Hotel, Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago on 28-30 April 2004 under the Chairmanship of the Hon. John Rahael, Minister of Health, Trinidad and Tobago and under the theme, Investing in Human Resources with Special Reference to Health, Sustainable Development and the Environment.

The Sixteenth Inter-Sessional Meeting of The Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community was held in Paramaribo, Suriname, February 16-17, 2005 under the chairmanship of His Excellency Drs. Runaldo R. Venetiaan, President of the Republic of Suriname and Chairman of The Conference. Other Heads of Government in attendance were: The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Hon. JOINT COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE TENTH CARICOM-JAPAN CONSULTATION, 23 AUGUST 2004, GEORGETOWN, GUYANA

The Tenth Caribbean Community (CARICOM)- Japan Consultation was held at the CARICOM Headquarters in Georgetown on August 24, 2004. The delegation of CARICOM was headed by Ms Fay Housty, Director, Foreign Policy and External Economic Relations of the CARICOM Secretariat and that of Japan by Mr. Satoru Sato, Deputy Director-General, Latin America and Caribbean Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Twenty-Fifth Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community was held in Grand Anse, Grenada from 4 to 7 July 2004. Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada and Chairman of CARICOM presided over the Meeting of the Conference, the work programme of which sought to advance the process of regional integration.
