On behalf of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), I wish to express profound sympathy on the passing of internationally acclaimed Caribbean poet and playwright, Saint Lucian born, Nobel Laureate, Sir Derek Walcott, OCC.

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on Wednesday 15 March, 2017, accredited a new Ambassador of the European Union (EU), with the new envoy advocating for the relationship to more effectively advance a common agenda in global and multilateral fora.
Senior officials from the Caribbean Community and Japan hold the 18th CARICOM-Japan Consultation on Tuesday 14 March at the CARICOM Secretariat in Georgetown, Guyana.
