CARICOM SECRETARIAT SETS UP EPA IMPLEMENTATION UNIT

FORGE NEW SPIRIT OF COOPERATION - CARICOM HEADS OF GOVERNMENT URGE SUMMIT PARTICIPANTS

  CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Participants at the Fifth Summit of the America now underway in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago should use the opportunity to promote partnerships and dialogue to find solutions to the problems that confronted them, Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) advised Friday.

CARICOM Heads of Government met in Caucus Friday morning ahead of the ceremonial opening of the Summit and in a Statement called for the forging of a new spirit of cooperation, and a fresh approach to Cuba.

CARICOM HEADS OF GOVERNMENT TO HOLD KEY MEETINGS AT FIFTH SUMMIT OF THE AMERICAS

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana)  Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will meet with a number of other Heads of State and Government on the margins of the Fifth Summit of the Americas which opens in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago on Friday 17 April 2009.

The three-day Summit is being held under the theme `Securing Our Citizens’ Future by Promoting Human Prosperity, Energy Security and Environmental Sustainability’.

CARICOM LEADERS HAVE PROMINENT ROLE IN SUMMIT OF THE AMERICAS

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Heads of Government of the 14 independent Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Member States will be among other leaders of the Hemisphere who will participate in the Fifth Summit of the Americas in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

The Summit from 17-19 April 2009 is being held under the theme ‘Securing Our Citizens’ Future by Promoting Human Prosperity, Energy Security and Environmental Sustainability’.
