ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada, CMC – Governor General Dame Cecile La Grenade Tuesday paid tribute to Sir Paul Scoon saying history will remember “this influential and courageous Grenadian” as a person who served his country with distinction. Sir Paul, 78, the first and longest serving head of state, died on Monday after a prolong illness. The former school teacher worked with six prime ministers, as well as establishing an interim government following the collapse of the leftwing People’s Revolutionary Government (PRG) of Maurice Bishop in 1983.
