The Secretariat

The achievement of the Objectives of the Community, as set out in Article 6 of the Revised Treaty, requires the collective participation of all Community Institutions and Associate Institutions, in addition to the CARICOM Secretariat. The Community Institutions and Associate Institutions – entities with which the Community enjoys important functional relationships – provide direct technical support to Member States in a range of areas.

STRUCTURE OF THE SECRETARIAT

Article 23 of the Revised Treaty provides for the Secretariat as the principal administrative organ of the Community with Headquarters in Georgetown, Guyana. The Secretariat also has an Office in Barbados and a small satellite unit in Jamaica.
