PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Opposition Leader Dr. Keith Rowley has dismissed moves by Attorney General Anand Ramlogan to have a court declare him bankrupt over the non-payment of legal fees.
Last week, Ramlogan initiated court proceedings against Rowley to recover the TT$12,000 (One TT dollar = US$0.16 cents) owed to him from a court order made on January 14 this year.
But Rowley told the Trinidad Express Monday that the move by the attorney general is designed as a “pre-emptive strike to try and intimidate me in the motion of no confidence” that comes up for debate on Monday.
