Mission accomplished, says departing TCI governor

Jul 02, 2013

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands — On balance, there have been good and bad hours, but more good hours than bad, says departing governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI), Ric Todd, in assessing his almost two years in the British Overseas Territory. Todd is in the process of cleaning out his desk and tidying up outstanding matters in preparation for his September departure at the end of a rocky period that has tested his mettle as Britain's man in the tourism-dependent chain of islands. The governor believes that he is leaving the TCI a better place than he found it and suggests that the archipelago has a bright future if it maintains a steady course, based on the achievements of the past two years.
