PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad - Disbelief, hurt, disappointment and sadness gave way to determination yesterday as hundreds of people from the constituency of Chaguanas West came together to form a lobby group called “Bring Jack Back.” Led by chairman of the La Paille/Caroni party group, Indal Singh, supporters vowed to shake up the People’s Partnership Government if Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar did not reinstate Chaguanas West Jack Warner as chairman of the UNC and Minister of National Security. Saying the “political war” had just begun, Singh said his team would walk the length and breadth of T&T to make sure Warner continued to play an influential role in politics. Singh described Warner as the best national security minister T&T had ever seen. “He is a man of the people. We don’t care what allegations they bring against him. We are standing with Warner,” Singh added. Supporters, dressed in Warner T-shirts, gathered at the constituency office at Caroni Savannah Road, Chaguanas, from 5 pm.
