Amir Dillawar is a Guyanese electrical engineer and renewable energy professional who serves as Programme Coordinator for the Guyana Utility Scale Solar Photovoltaic Programme (GUYSOL) at Guyana Power and Light Inc. He was recognised as the 2025 CARICOM Sustainable Energy Youth Award recipient for his contribution to advancing clean energy and supporting the region’s energy transition. With a Master’s in Renewable Energy Systems, a background in academia at the University of Guyana, and active involvement in engineering and professional networks, Dillawar represents a new generation of Caribbean youth leaders in sustainable energy.
