Shaquawn Gill currently serves as the Digital Media Manager at the National Communications Network, which falls under the purview of the Office of the Prime Minister in Guyana.

Mr Gill has 5 years of direct experience in Public Relations and Media.

He stood out for his participation in the 5th Annual Youth Parliament (2018) as the Shadow Minister of Health and has since served as a Mentor for new Youth Parliamentarians, a role he has held for the past 5 years.

Over the period 2016-2018, Mr. Gill served as a Youth Ambassador for the Rights of the Child Commission. He also served as a Senior Youth Ambassador for the Empower Guyana youth organisation from 2017-2024.

Most recently, Shaquawn served as the President of the University of Guyana’s Students’ Society, championing transformative projects during his tenure, including the One Communications UG Student Plan and the launch of the first-ever multi-dimensional UGSS website.

Known for his strong Christian faith, Mr. Gill also served as Head of Communication at the Grove Seventh Day Adventist Church from 2020 -2022 and is currently the leader of the Adventist Youth Ministries (AYM)  at the church.
