The young farmer from Dominica, Kevorn Vidal, received the 2024 CARICOM Youth Farmer of the Year award at the opening ceremony of the 18th Caribbean Week of Agriculture in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, 7 October 2024. 

#CWA is the Region’s premier agriculture event which features workshops, seminars and a trade show coordinated by partners in regional agriculture. The main objective of CWA 2024 was to highlight and coordinate efforts towards accelerating climate-smart mitigation and adaptative measures to reduce climatic impacts on food production systems. CWA 2024 was the 18th edition of this event.
