CARICOM BUREAU MEETING TO RECEIVE HAITI REPORT

In keeping with the decision taken by Heads of Government at their 25th Regular Meeting in Grenada 4-7 July, the 18th meeting of the Bureau of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will be held at Grand Anse, Grenada on Wednesday (July 28) to receive the report of the CARICOM Ministerial team which visited Haiti earlier this month. The Bureau is comprised of the Chairman (The Prime Minister of Grenada), the Outgoing Chairman (The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda),  the Incoming Chairman (The President of Suriname), and the Secretary General.

With the aim of the meeting being to receive the report on Haiti, members of the CARICOM Core Group on Haiti are expected to be in attendance. This means that other Heads of Government expected to participate are those of The Bahamas, Saint Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and The Turks and Caicos Islands. The Bureau Meeting is however, open to all Heads of State/Government who may wish to attend. In keeping with the decision of the Heads of Government at their 25th Meeting, the Bureau, on receiving the report on Haiti, will make recommendations to Heads of Government on the way forward.
