Job Description
The U.S. Mission in Bridgetown is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Bodyguard, Regional Security Office. The work schedule for this position is full time 40 hours per week. Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Duties
Perform protective security functions to Department of State protective security standards. Ensure the safety of the U.S. Ambassador to Barbados while in Barbados and while travelling to the six other U.S. Embassy accredited islands. The Bodyguard is responsible for advance planning, liaison with the various local police components and corporate representatives, accompanying and performing bodyguard functions for the Ambassador/Charge’, and driving a Fully Armored Vehicle (FAV) as a driver for the Ambassador as needed.
