BRIDGETOWN, Barbados - Looking back, there were several issues last year that have been left hanging in the balance that one can only hope will be addressed this year.
REDjet came with a lot of fanfare and hoopla, creating major excitement in a region whose population has begged on bended knees over the years for cheaper options to travel. Many people wanted to visit friends and family that they had not seen for some time, while others wanted to create business opportunities within sister countries and the promise of this low fare airline made these chances seem like a dream come true.
But then the bubble burst, Redjet joined the growing Caribbean airline graveyard and the region raged and wept as this dream was once again swept under the rug.
