Private sector needs representation at regional level

May 20, 2013

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade A.J. Nicholson has appealed to the Jamaican private sector to participate in establishing an association to represent their interests at the regional level.
He has also invited the private sector to participate in the preparatory process for a special session of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED).
The meeting will be very important as it will contribute to the overall reorientation of CARICOM as a regional integration movement, Nicholson said as he made his contribution to the Budget Debate in the Senate last week.
