KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, CMC - Opposition Leader Arnhim Eustace Monday said a bill asking Parliament to approve EC$208 million (One EC dollar = US$0.37 cents) in further loans to help finance the EC$652 million Argyle International Airport “nearly shocked the life out of me”. Eustace expects the bill for the loans to be approved when it goes before the Finance Committee, which comprises government and opposition legislators on Tuesday. “Of course, the Finance Committee is majority government. It (the Bill) will go through,” he said of the Supplementary Amendment to the EC$799.1 national budget Parliament approved in January.
