BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS, CMC – The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) says it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), formalising a collaborative relationship for addressing water priorities in the region. It said the MOU signifies a building block for change as there is undoubtedly a need for greater cooperation on water-related issues in the region. “Both organisations foresee the potential positive impact this relationship will have as they share the overall objective of improving water governance in the region,” it said, adding that the MOU will formalise the working relationship between the two organisations “as strategic regional partners; a partnership that intends to facilitate the exchange of relevant information and the harmonisation of their work programmes.
