Youth Parliament Debate on CARICOM

As part of Government’s outreach programme to sensitise the public about the importance of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and regional integration, a debate for youth will be staged on Friday, June 26, in the Lower House of Parliament from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The Youth Parliament will discuss the topic: CARICOM - A Regional Integration Project, as Barbados prepares to host the 36th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community, from July 2 to 4.

Persons desirous of listening to a “live” broadcast of the debate can tune into the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) radio station 100.7 FM. The debate will be recorded and televised on channel 8 on Monday June 29th at 1:00 PM.

The youth debate is being coordinated by the Division of Youth Affairs in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, and the Prime Minister’s Office. (END).
