CARICOM Foreign Ministers held wide-ranging engagements with various interest groups in addition to meeting their German counterpart, 2-3 March 2015.
The Foreign Ministers met with representatives of the German business sector in Berlin, representatives of the renewable energy sector in Hamburg on the morning of March 3, and with parliamentary representatives from the Latin American and Caribbean Commission of the German parliament.
The Conference of CARICOM and German Foreign Ministers provided for an exchange of views on the strengthening of relations between the two sides, on technical co-operation, the challenges hindering the implementation of the Economic Partnership Agreement with the EU, and on priority issues on the international agenda, including climate change, the post 2015 development agenda, financing for development and threats to international security.
