CARIBBEAN-POLITICS-Spain seeking regional support for seat on UN Security Council

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Spain is seeking the assistance of Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries for a seat on the United Nations Security Council for 2015-2016 period.
Spain's Ambassador Manuel Quesada met with Barbados Prime Minister Freundel Stuart and delivered a letter from Spain’s Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy.
The diplomat said Madrid has had a long relationship with CARICOM and also wants to increase bilateral cooperation with the region.
