Latvia appoints first Ambassador to CARICOM

CARICOM welcomes new Chilean Ambassador

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) - The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) has welcomed a new Ambassador of Chile, His Excellency Bernardo José del Picó Rubio with Secretary-General Dr. Carla Barnett calling on the country to amplify the Community’s concerns for fair contributions from the developed world to address climate change and to restructure the international financial architecture.

CARICOM and Slovenia moving closer to stronger partnership

The growing partnership between the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and Slovenia was strengthened recently as the CARICOM Secretary-General, Dr. Carla Barnett welcomed a new ambassador of the European country to the Community.

His Excellency Iztok Mirošič presented his letter of credence to the Secretary-General who described the occasion as "a positive step” in their emerging partnership.

CARICOM seeks closer cooperation with Sweden in education and ICT

CARICOM and Brazil pledge to Deepen Cooperation

PM Douglas was expected to meet with Presidents of Brazil and Venezuela

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JANUARY 29TH 2014 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas was expected to meet with the Presidents of Venezuela and Brazil during the margins of the Second Meeting of the Community of Latin America and Caribbean (CELA) in Havana,Cuba.

Dr. Douglas in his meeting with the President of Venezuela, His Excellency Nicolas Maduro, will formally express his government’s concern over the recent destruction by fire of the Venezuelan Embassy in Basseterre.

CARICOM TARGETS JOURNALISTS TO SPREAD INTEGRATION MESSAGE
