CARICOM Secretary-General (L) accepts the Letters of Credence of the first Ambassador of Latvia to CARICOM, H.E. Sanita Pavļuta-Deslandes
(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) - The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Republic of Latvia began a new chapter in their diplomatic relations when its first plenipotentiary representative to the Community was welcomed by CARICOM Secretary-General, Dr. Carla Barnett.
The Secretary-General accepted the Letters of Credence appointing Her Excellency Sanita Pavļuta-Deslandes as Ambassador of Latvia to CARICOM, at the CARICOM Secretariat headquarters on Wednesday 4 December. She noted that the appointment signals Latvia’s commitment to a deeper relationship with CARICOM.
