Singapore keen on sharing development experience with CARICOM

Singapore has said it is happy to share its development experience with the Caribbean Community, as the country’s second Ambassador to CARICOM  was accredited Wednesday. Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque accepted the Letters of Credence of Her Excellency Karen Tan, Plenipotentiary Representative of Singapore to CARICOM, at the Secretariat’s Headquarters in Georgetown Guyana. (CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana)     CARICOM Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque on Tuesday accredited the first Ambassador of Norway to CARICOM noting that the appointment strengthens “already good” relations and signals a new chapter in a long standing friendship with the Kingdom of Norway.

Caribbean Wellness Day 2018 Promotes Health at Work: A Basic Human Right The United Nations (UN), The World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) state that every individual has a right to healthy and safe work and to a work environment that enables him or her to live a socially and economically productive life.   In keeping with this basic human right to health at work, Caribbean Wellness Day 2018, bears the theme, Healthy Communities: Preserving the Workforce and urges individuals to Be healthy, stay healthy, it’s your job!
