CARICOM to hold CSME Labour Stakeholders Workshop

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana)    Employers’ and workers’ associations from across the Region will  be sensitized and updated on the CSME regimes for free movement of skills and labour, at a major regional CARICOM and Single Market and Economy (CSME) Labour Stakeholders Workshop, in Dominica, on 10 and 11 November 2014.

Working Towards an AIDS-Free Caribbean at the 13th Annual General Meeting of PANCAP

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana)     This week, leaders and key decision-makers gathered to strategise and to identify the actions needed to achieve the goals set out by the recently adopted Caribbean Regional Strategic Framework (CRSF) 2014-2018. A recurring theme of the discussions at the 13th  Annual general meeting of  the Pan Caribbean Partnership Against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP) was the  achievment of  universal access to health care in the face of the inequality that still exists across the region.

PANCAP to present Awards of Excellence at 13th AGM

Carpha Workshops To Strengthen The Caribbean’s Ability To Respond To Ebola

Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, October 22, 2014:  The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) will host workshops geared at strengthening the Caribbean’s ability to prepare and respond to outbreak situations such as the ongoing Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

From November 17 – 21, CARPHA, in collaboration with the Communicable Diseases and Health Analysis (CHA) unit of PAHO/WHO, will provide two training workshops on Infectious Substances Shipping Training and Bio-safety Practices for the Clinical Laboratory, at its Port of Spain, Trinidad headquarters.
