But a new study of Caribbean lizards published today (July 18) in the journal Science suggests that, at least in some circumstances, evolution may be more predictable than previously thought.

Jack asked to return diplomatic passport

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad - Government has asked former cabinet minister Jack Warner to return his diplomatic passport. The Express was told by a high-ranking Government official that the United States authorities have been pressuring the Government to withdraw Warner’s diplomatic passport which in effect would remove his diplomatic immunity. Warner has indicated that he will return his diplomatic passport and that of his wife Maureen by next Wednesday.

The Attorney General and the Prime Minister’s attorney, however, want him to resign. Period. Attorney general warns about illegal drugs trade

Curfew imposed after gunmen kill three

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – The authorities have imposed a 24 hour curfew on a section of Annotto Bay in St. Mary after gunmen shot and killed three people including a woman. Police said that 27-year-old Dwayne Harris, 41-year-old David McIntosh and his common-law wife, 44-year-old Maureen Pinnock were shot and killed after the gunmen gained entrance to the premises. Police said that the victims were shot several times and taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Grenada and China looking to improve diplomatic relations

ST. GEORGE'S, Grenada, CMC – China is promising to deepen its relationship with Grenada eight years after the Caribbean island broke off diplomatic relations with Taiwan. Beijing’s first ever female ambassador to Grenada, Ou Boqian, said the relationship has grown over the years and “I am working to further enhance the relationship between China and Grenada”. Foreign Affairs Minister Nickolas Steele said he was confident that by the time her term of duty is over “you will be a sister and daughter of the soil”.
