Members of the Caribbean Community’s (CARICOM) Budget Committee presently meeting in Guyana used the opportunity to take a guided tour of the new headquarters building of the CARICOM Secretariat.
The tour was conducted by an Engineer of the city of Georgetown, Mr. Michael Sears and accompanying members of the Budget Committee was CARICOM Secretary-General Mr. Edwin Carrington.
The building is located at Liliendaal on the East Coast of Demerara, Guyana.
The Budget Committee is made up of senior officials of CARICOM Member States who meet annually to consider and pronounce on the work programme and budget of the CARICOM Secretariat in order to make recommendations to the Community Council.
