Amrikha Singh, Programme Manager, Sustainable Development at the CARICOM Secretariat, explains the importance of conservation and the sustainable use of the Region’s biodiversity. She underscores the need for regional representation at high-level international conferences and provides insight ahead of the 16th Conference of Parties on Biological Diversity (COP 16), scheduled for 21 October–1 November in Cali, Colombia, and the United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties (COP 29) which will be held 11 - 22 November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
