Arantxa Swedo serves as the CARICOM Youth Ambassador for Suriname, advocating for youth empowerment, mental health, and regional integration. She holds a law degree with a specialization in criminal law and combines expertise in journalism, strategic communications, and business management. As founder of a training consultancy, she has led major projects that directly align with CARICOM’s objectives, equipping Surinamese youth with leadership skills, business acumen, and practical tools to strengthen their professional portfolios.

A certified sexual and reproductive health advocate with more than a decade of experience, she specializes in STI prevention and SRHR education. Arantxa also promotes evidence-based communication and initiatives that inspire and empower youth throughout the Caribbean region.
