(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana – Friday, 15 November 2024) An historic meeting of Heads of State and Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Republic of India is set for Wednesday 20 November 2024 in Georgetown, Guyana.
The Second CARICOM-India Summit is expected to further solidify bilateral cooperation between CARICOM and India in energy and infrastructure, agriculture and food security, health and pharmaceuticals, technology and innovation, as well as human resources and capacity building.
The Opening Ceremony will feature remarks by the Chair of CARICOM and Prime Minister of Grenada, Hon. Dickon Mitchell; President of Guyana, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali; Prime Minister of India, Hon. Narendra Modi; and CARICOM Secretary-General, Dr. Carla Barnett.
