CARICOM, Austrian officials meet in Grenada

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) - Ms. Elizabeth Solomon, Assistant Secretary-General for Foreign and Community Relations within the CARICOM Secretariat, on Sunday 28 July, met with H.E. Mr. Gerhard Doujak, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to CARICOM.

During the talks which were held ahead of the 47th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government in St. George's, Grenada, the officials discussed technical cooperation between CARICOM and Austria in renewable energy and human resource capacity building.

Ambassador Doujak indicated Austria’s commitment to offer scholarships to CARICOM nationals in teacher training, entrepreneurship and tourism management at the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management in Salzburg, Austria.
