Seventh round of Caribbean Food Security and Livelihoods Survey launched
The seventh round of the Caribbean Food Security and Livelihoods Survey has launched.
The survey is is available between 19 March and 2 April 2024, and is open to persons 18 years and older in all CARICOM Member States and Associate Members, as well as in Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten. It is available in English, French, Dutch and Spanish, and can be accessed at this link: https://arcg.is/LSiPC
The online survey began in 2020 shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic was declared. Its purpose it to inform analysis and decision-making on regional and national efforts to promote food security and strengthen food systems. Data collected over the previous six survey rounds highlight the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the cost of living crisis and the effect of natural hazards on food security and livelihoods in the region.
The Caribbean Community and the World Food Programme (WFP) Caribbean Multi-Country Office are collaborating with the Caribbean Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on this very important exercise. The survey is made possible through the support of the European Union (EU), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), and Global Affairs Canada (GAC).
