Job Description
Responsible for developing tests, evaluation procedures and instruments to measure performance and achievement of students in the Caribbean; ensuring the development and maintenance of item banks for assigned subjects; providing technical and administrative support to committees that prepare syllabuses and tests for CXC’s examinations; conducting research in measurement and other related areas; conducting verification audits for Caribbean Vocational Qualifications (CVQs); and providing technical assistance to institutions and member countries.
What you’ll do:
- Tests, evaluation procedures and instruments to measure performance and achievement in students in the Caribbean.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of item banks for assigned subjects.
- Provide technical and administrative support to committees that prepare syllabuses and tests for CXC’s examinations.
- Conduct research in measurement and other related areas.
- Conduct verification audits for CVQs.
- Provide technical assistance to institutions and member countries.
- Any other duties which may be assigned by any duly authorised person.
What we’re looking for:
- Post-graduate degree in Educational Testing, Measurement and Evaluation or Curriculum with Measurement.
- Level 4 Assessor Training and Vocational Certification.
- Post-graduate qualifications in statistics would be an advantage.
- At least three years’ experience in teaching and assessment at the secondary or tertiary level.
- At least three years’ experience at a senior level in education.
- Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheets, SPSS and other relevant computer applications.
