PORT AU PRINCE, Haiti, CMC – Haitian Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe has been assured of Brazil’s long-term commitment to the French-speaking Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country as he continues his official visit to the South American country.
A statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister, noted that Lamothe held talks that focused on strengthening ties with Brazil and encouraging private sector investments in Haiti's developing economy.
It said that in a meeting with Defense Minister Celso Amorim, the prime minister was assured of Brazil's long-term commitment to Haiti.
