ROSEAU, Dominica, CMC – Dominica Wednesday said that the Economic Union of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) provides an opportunity for the sub-region to improve its trading relations with the international community. “The establishment of an Economic Union, which is the single market, also the single financial space and economic space, will assist the development of the OECS economic integration in the process of removing barriers to trade between national markets in goods, services and factors of production I speak here of capital and labour,” said Employment, Trade, Industry and Diaspora Affairs Minister Dr. Colin McIntyre. Addressing the start of a one day public consultation on the OECS Economic Union, Mc Intyre said there must be greater participation from key partners to determine the best path for regional integration.
