PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – The United States military is engaged in a month-long training exercise with the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) as part of the efforts to boost support for the region.
A statement from the US Embassy here said that similar training exercises and humanitarian work had been conducted in several countries including Guyana and Jamaica.
It said the Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) exercise “will also enable the U.S. team to hone their military tactics and skills in unfamiliar settings, as most of the training will be carried out in the Chaguaramas area” west of here.
