The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, today sent a letter expressing his gratitude to the Minister of Education and Information of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Nigel Carty, for the award that the government official recently granted to the hemispheric institution for the support it provided in the area of education.
“We are deeply honored and appreciative of the recognition of the work of the OAS as a partner in the advancement of education in the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Education or, more specifically, human development is critical for the integral development of the countries in the Hemisphere. It is therefore an important pillar of the Organization's work,” the OAS Secretary General stated in his letter.
