The Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Hon. Baldwin Spencer, will pay an official visit to the CARICOM Secretariat on 23-25 June 2004.

On this, his first official visit to the Secretariat since assuming the Chairmanship of CARICOM earlier this year, Prime Minister Spencer is expected to have a packed programme from the time of his arrival - scheduled for the night of 23 June 2004.

He is expected to meet with several officials including representatives of the Government of Guyana and the Opposition. Mr. Spencer will also meet with His Excellency, Mr. Edwin W. Carrington, Secretary-General of the CARICOM and senior staff of the CARICOM Secretariat. He will also visit the site of the new CARICOM Headquarters, which is being built at Liliendaal.

The full programme for the CARICOM Chairman's official visit to the Secretariat will be made available to the media in due course.
