Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Her Excellency Madam Rento L.P. Marsudi paid a courtesy call on Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque on Friday.
The Minister was accompanied by a number of Foreign Ministry officials.
Indonesia accredited its first Ambassador to CARICOM, HE Drs. Dominicus Supratikto, on 2 May 2018.
The Ambassador noted at the time that the forming of official links allowed for more engagement between the two parties and this latest initiative was in keeping with Indonesia’s thrust to extend relations with non-traditional partners.
Both Ambassador Supratikto and Secretary-General LaRocque agreed that climate change was one area that lent itself to cooperation.
