The CARICOM Standard flutters prominently during the Opening Ceremony for Exposition Milano 2015, in Milan, Italy on Friday 1 May.
The CARICOM Secretariat, as well as individual CARICOM Member states – Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Suriname – are participating in the six-month exposition.
Expo Milano 2015 is utilising the Cluster Concept which groups within the same architectual project a number of countries focused on a shared common theme. CARICOM will benefit from this Cluster concept, as, being in the Island, Sea and Food Cluster strategically positions the Region to further its Food and Nutrition Security Action Plan.
The Exposition, under the theme, “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life, runs from 1 May to 31 October 2015.
