PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – The Trinidad and Tobago government has received a copy of the report of the Commission of Inquiry that probed the events that led to the 1990 attempt by a group of Muslims to overthrow the government of prime minister ANR Robinson.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister, said that the report of the Commission of Inquiry, had been discussed at Thursday’s meeting of the National Security Council (NSC).
The Commission’s report had earlier been presented to President Anthony Carmona.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar said that the report would be laid in Parliament on Friday.
