CARICOM Competition Commission (CCC)

At its tenth meeting in Grenada in 1989, the Heads of Government of CARICOM agreed that whilst CARICOM would remain a ‘Community of Sovereign States,’ a number of changes were essential for improving the structure and management of the Community, in order to allow it to respond to the challenges and opportunities in the globalised environment.

CARICOM DEVELOPMENT FUND LAUNCHES LOGO COMPETITION

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) CARICOM Nationals have been invited to participate in the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) Logo Competition which was launched as part of the organisation’s promotional activities towards heightening understanding of the institution and its work. Interested individuals have until 20 March 2009 to submit their artwork to the CDF.

CARICOM DEBATING COMPETITION SEMI-FINALISTS TO BE ANNOUNCED

The finalists in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secondary Schools Debating Competition, highlight activity for the 25th Anniversary of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will be announced tomorrow Friday 26 February 1999.

Two semi finals will take place simultaneously in Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago. The host countries will face St. Kitts and Nevis and The Bahamas respectively. In Dominica, the competition will take place at the Arawak House of Culture in Roseau while in Trinidad and Tobago, it will take place at the San Fernando Technical Institute.
