At its tenth meeting in Grenada in 1989, the Heads of Government of CARICOM agreed that whilst CARICOM would remain a ‘Community of Sovereign States,’ a number of changes were essential for improving the structure and management of the Community, in order to allow it to respond to the challenges and opportunities in the globalised environment.

CARICOM Competition Commission Launches Website

PARAMARIBO, 26th August, 2013. The CARICOM Competition Commission (Commission) is pleased to announce the official launch of its full-featured website www.caricomcompetitioncommission.com. The new-look website is currently designed to assist interested persons in understanding the work of the Commission and the basics and importance of competition law and consumer protection policy.

Fireworks at Inauguration Of Competition Commission

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Fireworks lit up the Paramaribo sky late on Friday afternoon, 18, January shortly after Dr. Kusha Haraksingh, a national of Trinidad and Tobago was sworn in as Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Competition Commission.
