The International Labour Organization (ILO)

Interreg Caraibes

INTERREG Caraïbes is a European Territorial Cooperation program allowing operators in Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique and Saint-Martin to implement win-win projects with their Caribbean neighbours, more than forty countries and territories.

UKAID

Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), UK Aid Direct supported small and medium sized civil society organisations (CSOs), based in the UK and overseas, to achieve sustained poverty reduction and the United Nations's Global Goals.

The fund was flexible, adaptive and demand-led, responding to UK government priorities. Project themes included conflict prevention, disability inclusion, education, ending modern day slavery, health, livelihoods, nutrition, WASH and women's empowerment.

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for people forced to flee their homes because of conflict and persecution.

We lead international action to protect refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people.

African Union

The African Union (AU) is a continental body consisting of the 55 member states that make up the countries of the African Continent. It was officially launched in 2002 as a successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU, 1963-1999).

Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO)

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is the specialized international health agency for the Americas. It works with countries throughout the region to improve and protect people's health.

PAHO engages in technical cooperation with its member countries to fight communicable and noncommunicable diseases and their causes, to strengthen health systems, and to respond to emergencies and disasters.

CARICOM Secretary-General's remarks | Tenth Anniversary of the International Day of Yoga | 21 June 2025

CARICOM Secretary-General Dr Carla Barnett delivered remarks at an event to celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of the International Day of Yoga, held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in Georgetown, Guyana on Saturday, 21 June.

The Secretary-General indicated that the practice of yoga is expanding in many countries, including CARICOM Member States, partly due to a growing recognition of the health and wellness advantages associated with disciplines such as yoga.
