CARICOM Energy Month

The objectives of the CARICOM Energy Month are to:

i. engage regional stakeholders on cross-cutting issues and multi-sectoral actions that can build economic, social, environmental, and climate resilience within CARICOM.

ii. share information and knowledge on strategies and actions being taken to transform the Region’s energy systems to become low-carbon, resilient and sustainable.

iii. highlight regional and international lessons learned and success stories in public and private sectors of the sustainable energy transition relevant to the CARICOM context.

Regional statistics capacity-building project

The Project for the Regional Advancement of Statistics in the Caribbean (PRASC), funded by the Canadian Government, is a seven-year initiative that begins this month. It is geared at strengthening the statistical system of the Caribbean in order to address identified gaps towards the improvement of socio-economic measures and to support evidence-based policy-making.
